What to Expect During Your Visit
A seamless, stress-free experience for all patients

All new patients will begin with an in-office consultation with Dr. Zimski.

Prior to your consultation, we will send a link to a patient portal with the necessary forms that need to be filled out before your first visit.

You will need to fill out 2 questionnaires: SPEED Questionnaire and Lifestyle Questionnaire.

Your first visit will take approximately 1 hour to complete. During this visit, Dr. Zimski will dilate your pupils to evaluate the health of your eyes. Most people can drive after dilation, but if you are not comfortable, please bring a driver. This exam will blur your vision for several hours, so please plan accordingly.

Once you have completed the consultation and comprehensive exam, Dr. Zimski will outline a customized treatment and management plan.

Once a treatment plan has been outlined, Dr. Zimski will walk you through exactly what to expect with each step, and answer any questions you may have.

On the day of your eye exam we recommend that you please DO NOT use any eye drops or wear eye makeup.

Your first visit will take approximately 1 hour to complete. During this visit, Dr. Zimski will spend time listening and talking through your symptoms, and will perform a comprehensive dry eye exam. This exam will help determine the root cause of your various symptoms, and will test how well your current tear film is functioning to protect the surface of your eye.
